This album includes works that were written within a range of 14 years (2006-2020), and it features wonderful performances by Jen-Ru Sun (piano), Marissa Olin (flute), Jesse Krebs (clarinet), and Meghan Schaut (piano).

enCayapa’s first recording, entitled “Ensamble Urbano”, was released in the summer of 2006 and includes five of Márquez-Barrios’s compositions. In this recording, Márquez-Barrios worked not only as composer and guitarist for the ensemble, but as one of the producers. “Ensamble Urbano” has received very positive reviews from some of the most important musicians inVenezuela and abroad.

Jonathan Nichol’s album Tenor Attitudes, includes the debut recording of Márquez-Barrios’s Concentric Circles, for tenor saxophone and piano. This work was commissioned by Nichol for its premiere at the 2012 Saxophone World Congress in St. Andrews, Scotland.

Del Hecho al Trecho is the debut solo album by clarinetist Demian Martinez (Miami Symphony Orchestra), and it includes a composition by Victor Márquez-Barrios entitled Los Meaitos.

Groove Machine is the third album by award-winning H2 Quartet. It features the debut recording of SAXTETO, a work written by Márquez-Barrios in collaboration with members of the quartet. 

Two compositions for solo guitar by Victor Márquez-Barrios are included in Guitar – Intro 3: The Repertoire Book, published in Germany by Chanterelle.
